Good Points

We are vegetarians, and there was a good selection of food for us. The Head Chef made a variety of vegetarian dishes especially for us. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to assist and help us. Having a kitchenette was an extra bonus, as we were able to cook a quick meal when needed. This is particularly convenient with children. The apartment was replenished with fresh towels and linen regularly, and it was well cleaned. Everything in the apartment was in good working order. The hotel receptionist was friendly and efficient. The hotel had plenty of facilities, and the swimming pool area had plenty of spare sunbeds and parasols. The animation team were brilliant, and they constantly encouraged people to play games like archery and water volleyball etc., and they always joined in themselves. Local buses run every 15 - 20 minutes, and the drivers are friendly and helpful. Everyone speaks English, everything is written in English and they drive on the left too! We had an excellent time, and we would go to Cyprus again. We hired a car and explored the Island more, as there is lots to see and do.

Bad Points

The hotel was a bit remote from local shops, though this can't be helped. Some people might consider the 6 minute uphill walk to the bus stop a bit much in the heat, but it kept us fit. The entertainment was a bit basic, but they did do a good job, and the younger kids enjoyed it. Teenagers might need to go out of the hotel for better entertainment. Avis car hire have special offers, but these were offset with higher insurance costs if you opted for their promotion. Best to book through receptionist and get a local car hire, as it would be much cheaper and friendlier than Avis.

General Comments

We feel that Cyprus has a lot to offer, as there is a lot of culture and history. The people all around are very friendly and helpful. We had no hick ups and enjoyed shopping in the local town and sightseeing. Avoid going to the Aphrodite baths, which is a 1 1/2 hour drive, as all you see there is a pond. Each day thousands of tourists go there and return disappointed. But around Paphos and towards Limassol there are so many museums and Greek mythology places too see, which are all well preserved and only £1 entry. A very educational and spiritual tour. Cyprus is a must for a quality holiday, and we would recommend the Pafian Park Village.
