Easy to handle, light weight, packs enough punch for both plinking and mid-range hunting. And, it's a BSA Meteor with all the history that comes with it.
Break-barrel springer can't compare with pneumatics when it comes to long distance accuracy.
I just bought a new BSA Meteor MK 6 in .22 calibre and I'm very happy with it. Some might argue that the MK 6 is under-powered when it comes to hunting, but I can say for certain that when it comes to ranges below 30 yards or so the meteor mk 6 packs enough punch in both .177 and .22 (around 8 ft-lbs) to down most medium-sized airgun game. The rifle feels very well-made and robust. If you don't need a walnut stock and recoil-free action (which is for ladies anyway) then the Meteor is a good choice.
