Bad Points

No pre-approval or estimate of coverage prior to treatment; minimal reimbursement if any;. I filed three claims and received no response of any kind on one. Reimbursed $90 on a $450 emergency visit on the second; on third claim, dog exhibited symptoms consistent with food poisoning, which was denied as routine visit. Takes months for company to finalize a claim.


General Comments

Costumer service at Veterinary Pet Insurance is non-existent. The company is great in taking your premiums, but puts little effort in claims service. I really expected a lot better from a Nationwide company.
