Good Points
A really pretty place in the Newlands valley
Reliable pub food
Real pub atmosphere / decor (unless you are in the restaurant, which has better views but less character)
Local brews on tap

Bad Points
Gets very busy
Menu is dull
And the more adventurous bits of the menu were disappointing

General Comments
I ate at The Swinside Inn in Newlands, near Keswick because it was the nearest pub to where we were staying at Manesty - we walked there past Catbells, which was lovely. We would probably have been more critical if it hadn't been for the walk making us hungry and thirsty.
