Good Points

Showcase has a wide range of films to see. It's easy to get to with a car, but not so easy by bus or other forms of public transport. Always clean and tidy in the foyer.

Bad Points

The price, you have the "normal" price which is a little extreme at 6.50 I think then the "Hang on a minute... How much to watch a film?!" price of a little over £12.00, with wider seats and a choice of the best seats (or so they say).

The seats are uncomfortable and need updating, on busy times after a previous show they can be filthy... As are the toilets which are at times a disgrace.

General Comments

When it was the only multiplex cinema in Nottingham, it had no worries. However since the likes of Cineworld etc have emerged, I am afraid it has lost its way and needs to have a long hard look at itself. The little independent cinemas may not have the choice of film, but will always have the quality and the price that is right for most families.

I agree, at one time Showcase was the place to see films but there's loads of others to compete with it now and they just don't seem to deliver any more. A lot of local smaller cinemas have closed down too because of these giant multiplexes; which is a shame as they are so much better. It makes me sad to see these once lovely movie theatres turned into nightclubs and the like!
