Odd, incredible bargains
Good parking and not too busy
Be good to yourself products are very expensive
There is plenty of parking at Sainsburys New Cross. The shop is a large one; a newish one built where the old Millwall football ground was. A petrol station is available, and a Dreams bed shop and Currys is on the same site.
The shop has a restaurant inside, and a chemist and dry cleaners as well. The stock is usual Sainsburys fair. Reduced price items are available throughout the store. These are sometimes real bargains, as in a bag of potatoes down to 25p from £1.80, which is too good to resist.
Other bargains - I bought a new TV for £60 three years ago, and it is still going. As my previous TV was the same style and was £120, and as it only lasted two years, then this was a real bargain. These bargains are however not available often; you have to be in the shop at the right time, because they will not last long.
Overall, Sainsburys is a good choice for the discerning shopper. As there is so much competition in the area the nice check-out staff and lack of crowds is a good point. But be careful when going through the check-out. The reduced price items are put through at their full price and a trip to customer service gets the refund. Once a cashier wanted to charge me 90p for a single bagel when the actual price was 4 for 90p! She had mixed up the prices, as they did not have a bar code.
