Pretty accurate for the price seems to be close to the advertised FPS rating. Good for small game or just playing around, for the most part it seems pretty solidly built.
Fiber optic noodle on the front sight blade of my gun keeps breaking, every time I lean it on something, and why can't airgun manufacturers make sights out of metal like they should be?
I bought my Beeman 1040 at Canadian Tire for $169 (Which is way overpriced, but that is Canadian Tire's fault not Beeman) it is one of the newer models that is being made in China. For being made in China the build quality is actually pretty good, the breech locks up really solid and it looks like it will last me a while. This is mostly my fun gun, it handles really well and is pretty accurate. Really my only complaint with the gun is that they made everything out of wood and metal except the sights, the sights are plastic and in my opinion the sights are the most important part of a gun, you really shouldn't skimp on them. I managed to break the front sight shortly after buying the gun, I leaned the gun against the wall and because it rests on the front sight it broke the fiber optic noodle off the very thin plastic pieces that it is attached to the sight with. I glued it together and that usually holds for a while until I forget and lean it against something again. Overall this gun really isn't that bad and fun to play around with, I wouldn't pay $169 for it though, I was mad to see that some places online will sell it to you for around $100, that seems like a better price for it.
