low cost, accurate (for the price), nice balance
Bad Points
no elevation adjustment on sights, difficult to put pellet in straight into reciever. hollow stock. no cheek piece, (I am 6' and I have to crane my neck somewhat to get a good sight picture).
General Comments
The 856 is a wonderful gun. i shoot it indoors (2 pumps, 295 fps), and outdoors (10 pumps 670 fps). I was able to take out a sqirrel easily. I use this rifle mainly for plinking, but it also makes an extrordinary, yet inexpensive hunting tool. Top fps is 670! In my basement I can easily shoot .75 groups at 30ft.(10yds.) Although this gun was very inexpensive ($36.00 at wal-mart), you get alot of gun for the money. I would recommend this rifle as a first or even second rifle.
