St George, Lord Complex Review

I'm just going to focus on the accommodation as I think that's the point of these reviews. Good points would be that it's fairly clean and as it's a small complex you can meet people and make friends easier.

The shower is very small and ours was useless, spouting out water where it shoudn't be. Also the shower head wasn't on the wall so you have to hold it whilst trying to wash your hair/body etc. A right pain! As there was just a curtain if you didn't have it pulled tight to the wall you flooded the bathroom as well, very annoying too.
There is air con but you have to pay for the remote from reception in order to get it to work. This is disgraceful in my opinion.
The balcony is one long very narrow strip, not seperated so no privacy from neighbours when sitting out there and it was tiny anyway.

The Lord Complex is definitely basic so if you're happy with that then fair enough. As mentioned though things like the shower, balcony and aircon are definitely enough to put me off and I couldn't recommend it to anyone on this basis. My friend stayed at the Palm Beach Hotel, half board for the same money as we paid and after seeing her room I would definitely prefer somewhere like that.
