Great pool. 50 metres and great for exercise. Swimmers, if you swim 9ish before kids pile in. Close to strip where you can fill your boots, had a great curry last night just outside resort. The pool bar sells food at reasonable prices so you don't mind if you fancy a snack. A toasty and coffee for 4 euros. The area around the pool is grassy and three is always shade under a tree if you want a break.
Bad Points
The apartment had a great write up on the web, but on arrival there is no air con. We are in block three. On the first floor. There is no balcony either so we are kind of stuck, the only way to keep cool is to keep the front door open for a through draft. Not ok at night when it is too hot. A fan hire is only 10 euros a week, can't even sit out when you come back from a night out as no balcony, tried to get moved but all full. Thomson should tell us the bad points.
General Comments
The air conditioning is a huge point of complaint, I would not have booked if I knew we has to sweat every night. The web and literature neglects to point this little fact out. The villas have a.c and a nice little patio area. Feel like poor relation stuck in no balcony, no a.c apartment. We keep trying to go to marina etc to see the real Portugal but after a day at the pool we only get as far as the strip. Tonight we definitely make the effort.
