Good Points

When running as it should be, the 323's a nice little car; it has a lively 1.6 engine, lots of space inside the cabin & boot.

Bad Points

Reliability: I don't know about ZOOM ZOOM, it's more a case of PUT PUT, fuel consumption is poor for a smallish 1.6 petrol, spares are expensive to say the least & I won't even go into servicing costs (£500+ for 52k service), the trims cheap and even though mines only done 27k , the CEL's never off and it looks like it's done double the mileage, despite being looked after.

General Comments

Want to buy a Japanese car? In my "opinion" don't buy a Mazda, my Nissan Primera & Mitsubishi Carisma proved to be far better, in ALL aspects.

If you check the forums you'll also see it's not just the older (if you can call 5 years old), from Mazda with CEL problems, oh yes pitting brakes are also a problem; I was told by a Mazda dealer that pitting brakes on a car with less than 10k wasn't uncommon. AVOID!
