General Comments
We were eagerly anticipating our meal at The Hutt Chef & Brewer restaurant, as we sat in lovely surroundings, but we were both seriously disappointed. Not wanting to spoil our evening, we ploughed on regardless, but half way through our meal we had to admit defeat and confess to really not enjoying it at all. We eat out fairly regularly, and have to say, this has been our worst pub meal so far. A side salad consisted of a few bits of limp lettuce. We sent it back saying that it had obviously been sent out in error. Wrong. It hadn't. The limp lettuce (minus anything else in the way of salad) WAS the side salad. The rest of the meal was certainly nothing to write home about. The staff? Unfriendly and inattentive. We discreetly complained to the manager about our meal, and by way of compensation he offered us free coffee (wow). We won't go there again until I start seeing some positive reviews I'm afraid. Such a disappointment. Wish I'd complained longer and louder and got a full refund, as it's what we deserved.
