It works, simply and reasonably well. Filter replacement is so easy. The fit and construction is precise and well made. Incredible customer service.
Bad Points
The square design of this model we have is a poor fit in the fridge or on the counter-top. In the last year or so, the filters appear to be less well made, and carbon is constantly coming loose and floating in the upper chamber. Negative air pressure builds up in the lower chamber, making it slow to pour; there aren't enough inlet vents. The hinge on the hinged cover over the pouring spout is flimsy and is bound to break.
General Comments
We had a Brita refrigerator style jug for about 10 years. I loved it. At one point, I banged the jug and broke the upper chamber - it still worked fine but there was a crack around the upper edge. When I asked Brita customer service about it, they sent, no questions asked, a replacement part.
