Good Points

It looks amazing; pink and pretty, and the crystal plates appealed to me. Heat control too, so you could find the best temperature for you.


Bad Points

Big, thick plates. THE BUTTONS for the heat control are on the top of the stupid tongs, so when you go to close them you end up turning it up and down about a million times. So annoying! However, you learn to hold it differently after a while. Takes quite a while to heat up, and the effect of straightening is just NOTHING compared to GHD's or any ceramic plates. Seriously, don't be lured in by the glitzy curiosity of the "crystal plates" because they really aren't any comparison to ceramics. No ionising technology, no infra-red technology, and so it does dry your hair out a lot. But I think the worst part is the gap between the plate and the plastic when you press the plates together. Hairs get stuck and trapped in the gap, and you end up ripping and damaging hair to get it out.


General Comments

My hair is medium and straight with a slight kink on top, but underneath it's frizzy and curly... you can see my frustration already yes? Haha. Well, I got really upset at the fact that I'd spend a good 30 - 40 minutes straightening it, and the second I walked out the door... the ends flicked under, the ends flicked out, the hair actually turned back into ringlets...

I would NOT recommend buying the Vidal Sassoon Micro Crystal Straighteners at all. They might be cheaper, but in beauty, makeup and a stuff: you actually get what you pay for. So be frivolous and splash out on the GHD's, because it will save you a lot of annoyance!
