General Comments

I have had my cupra R for 5 weeks and it is the best car I have had for an all round package. The civic Type R may be faster on paper but in the real world they are very similar. The Leon has so much mid range power from as low as 2100rpm, where as the Civic needs to reved hard to get the power. The other factor is the number of Leon R's on the road. Not many.Having a young family its the car to go for.I have driven the civic and it is a great car but 3 doors. You cannot beat the sound of a turbo.I have not lost a traffic light Grand Prix in mine so go and buy one its worth the wait!

This car looks superb, possibly even better than the CTR & Focus RS, I saw one in black and the understated looks with big 18" alloys looks cool.
I have driven the CTR and it is brilliant, especially the gearbox. But I think if I was buying I would go for the Leon R- is you'rs 212 0r 225 bhp?
It has far more usable power than the type R and may seem slower to 60 on paper but I doubt it is slower with 30-50 or 50-70.
It has a turbo and is therefore far more tuneable than the CTR. My only concern is there is a MK2 CTR out now which is even better than the mark one and I'm not sure if the Leon R has as good a handling. Have you driven the Clio cup? as I am considering buying this too.

    Hi

I have just bought a Seat Leon Cupra R 210 about 2 months ago. And as an overall package including running, maintenance, looks and goodies etc, I think it is my best buy so far. I drove a few before I bought this one, but one in particular had the optional Recaro interior (which is better than the standard trim, but very rare). That was a 210, but way faster than a 225 (I drove a couple). It spun in first 3 gears - rapid in the dry. It looked standard, but it must have been played with. My advise is, go to a few dealers, act interested and test drive a few cars.

P.S the 210 and 225 Cupra R, if chipped with a Revo chip, are both identical power at 265BHP.
