Great Location and entertainment. Pools not opened until 9am.
Very friendly staff

Didn't get pool view room therefore were on road side which at times was a bit noisy.

After reading reviews on various sites (this one included) I decided to do my first 'single parent' holiday with my 9yr old daughter and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest.

The Clumbar Mar is in a great location about 2 minutes walk from the beach and various shops, yet you get very little noise from the hustle and bustle of the main shopping street. There are stalls out every night along the promenade selling leather and jewelry goods etc.
The main shopping street is the next block down where the all the local buses run along.

The hotel is very clean with maid service every day, all the staff are very friendly and will do anything to help your holiday smoothly. The food was as good as I've had on AI, not the biggest selections for the evening meal but we both enjoyed a good meal every night and the lunchtime carvery (served in the main hotel) was often better than the evening meal. Not to mention the totally gorgeous cake selection at every meal time.

There are two pools, the one at the hotel had the daily games/airbed races etc so was quite noisy and you obv got thrown out of the pool while these games were going on, we chose to use their other pool which is just across the road, this pool had a bar and snack bar serving sandwiches, chips hotdogs etc which were included in the hotels AI. and was open from 10am-11.30pm and was a lot more relaxed and quieter, the seating area around the pool was used at nightime too for those just wanting a relaxing few drinks sitting out in the fresh air.

One major plus point was that both pools are only accessible through locked gates which were not opened until 9am, so although there was people queuing from about 8.30am it was a sociable time to get up and do the towel run (even though the hotel stated towels would be removed, this obv didn't happen).

The entertainment was very good, you did have to get there early to get a seat, or just gatecrash and share spare seats.

There is a small water park in Alcudia approx 6 miles away but the price more than reflects the facilities so was well worth the short 20mins taxi ride for a great day out.

All in all a great holiday, cant really fault the hotel at all, requested a pool view room which i didn't get but we spent so little time in our room it didn't make any difference to our holiday.

Would definitely recommend a visit to the Clumbar Mar, we both said we would go back there again.
