Bad Points

1. Mine came with the red barrel
2. Did not fire once (wasted 3 Co2 on it)
3. Every time i cocked the slide, it would lock up and i would have to use the release to release the thing (still did not fire once)
4. Too big, esp compared to the picture
4. Bad quality everything
5. Too expensive for a paper weight
6. magazine jammed (even though i still didnt get one shot off)

General Comments

So i just got my Anics A-3000 today after many days of anticipation, and boy was i disappointed. Sure i was looking forward to 500fps 28round mag shooting but when i tested it out nothing happened. When i pulled the trigger (dry firing), it shot like it didn't even have a Co2 in it. When i first opened the cardboard box and saw the super cheap plastic box it came in it was super ghetto. One of the latches didn't even clamp shut. So i was like okay, maybe the gun would make up for the box, boy was i wrong again. The first thing i noticed was the red tip barrel. Nothing like the picture i saw on the internet website. So then i thought, okay i can get around this if it performs well as claimed 500fps. So i loaded a co2 in, the clamp style was pretty cool but has its flaws. Then loaded up the magazine, man was this a pain. The magazine quality is just as poor as the gun and worse. It took forever to load each pellet one by one and without that pellet loading tool, you'd be hopeless. So after 5-10 mins of loading and hurting thumbs (because of a lath on the magazine, wth?) i got all the pellets in. Went outside and tried a dry fire shot. Nothing happened, as if there wasn't a Co2 even loaded. So i thought okay maybe i have to put the magazine in for it to work. Again, nothing happened. A few more Co2's later still not one shot fired. What a disappointment. Maybe i got a dud as many reviews have said, but i beg to differ. After reading about so many bad reviews, mine is just another bad review added to the pile of complaints. My conclusion is this bb/pellet gun is very poor. Maybe if it had fired once or twice I'd give it a 1 rating but I'm giving it a zero because of functionality (i don't even know if thats a word but who cares). It was a waste of time, and money, especially the money. I wouldn't even pay $40 for such a poor quality product even if it was brand new right out of the factory. My advice to my fellow shooters is don't buy this piece unless you want an expensive paper weight which probably wont even hold down a piece of paper down if i blew at it. Just don't buy this gun. I am sending it back to the retailer and going to go for a better quality airgun. An airgun that shoots inaccurately is still better than a airgun that doesn't shoot at all. I hate anics and will never buy another airgun from then ever! (except maybe the DROZD).

I found this review unhelpful because...
You should have been more patient..

I agree with most of the things you said (cheap box, PITA to load etc) but I think you must've done something wrong if it didn'teven fire. Was the CO2 cylinder pierced when you took it out? parhaps you didn't lock it properly.

to insert co2, hold the pistol pointing down and slide a capsule in; close the lid and finger-tighten the screw. close the outer lid.

the gun won't fire with no magazine in!!!

    it's a gr8 gun!!!

I won't say that this review is unhelpful, but I DO disagree with it. The skif A-3000 is by no means a perfect pistol. but it's good points far outweight the bad. you should read my review, it has some useful tips on how to avoid gas leak and jamming.

you need to be more patient with this sort of thing.

also, it MAY be that you recieved a rare version of the gun that doesn't work. just send it back for a replacement and try again. it really is a good gun when you get used to it.
