very accurate and powerful, quiet, compact, lightweight, great magazine, great action, quick and relatively easy to pump (if you use a handpump... i use a FX pump)
power not adjustable from factory (don't think i would change it anyway, but it'd be nice to have)
I've had my FAC S410K (Carbine) for a few weeks now and since then, it's been the only air rifle I have used. This PCP is my first PCP, and I am very pleased with it. On the Air Arms page, it states that the FAC S410K will do 22 fpe. With Beeman Kodiak (H&N Barracuda) 21.5 grain pellets, I have chronoed a twenty shot average around 780 fps when filled to 190 bar. That's good for almost 30 fpe... enough to punch a hole in a steel trash can! 14.3 grain CP's were doing over 900 fps and 16 grain JSB FT (Daystate FT) did around 890 fps.
This gun is dead accurate. At 50 yards, I can do 1 1/2" groups with the JSB FT pellets. For me, that's very good. I am sure the gun can do better, but that's as far as my current ability allows. If you can calculate your holdover well, 100 yard small game kills should be easy.
I have a shrouded model, and let me tell you, you will be amazed at how little noise this gun makes. It's quieter than most springers. For the power it puts out, it's very silent.
My decision was between a FAC S410H (Classic) and the S410K, but I ended up with the Carbine because I like the shorter gun's balance and there almost no power difference between the Carbine and the Classic. The advantage to having the Classic would be a few more shots per fill. I can get a good 25 shots per fill, but I usually fill after two magazines because pumping from 130 bar-190 bar is very quick and easy.
It took me a short while to learn to work the action and the magazine system, but once i got the hang of it, it was like second nature. You hardly have to move after taking one shot and working the action to have another shot ready.
PCP's are very accurate thanks to the lack of recoil, but I find them quite easy to shoot as compared to springers. That may bore some people, but not me!
