General Comments

I bought a matching Smeg hob and oven set on June 23rd - "Our best selling oven and hob package. Free delivery! Despatch within five days". Checking the stock revealed it was currently in stock so there should have been no problem. It is now August 7th, I received the oven several weeks late and the hob "should be back in stock August 20th".

I chose this company because they had the goods in stock and promised speedy dispatch which would help keep my building project on schedule. It turns out that the reason my goods appeared to be in stock is that the item is actually named "1 x IN STOCK - Oven & Hob pack - Stainless Steel " on their system so that it will appear to be in stock whether it is or not. I told them on several occasions that their site was still selling this as if they actually had the goods when they didn't and they should make that clear. They didn't until the last few days when they have reworded it and removed the "Safebuy" and "Trustmark" certification - someone must have had a word.

Avoid this company at all costs. I still have no idea if I will ever get my hob but I'm going to try elsewhere. My house is finished but my kitchen isn't and it's because these people were spinning me a line to get my cash.
