Cheap Quote, monthly payment option
Don't take my age into account automatically.
I've been insured with Direct Line for over 2 years now and have not had to make a claim yet so can't comment on that aspect. Paperwork, payments and customer service have always been great, no problems there.
The only thing I can say that surprises me slightly is that when I received my automatic renewal quote for this year they did not automatically take into account the fact that I'll turn 25 after a few months from my policy start date. As this means a lower monthly premium I would have though they made a quick sum of 4 months at rate A and the remaining 8 months at rate B and then divide that figure by 12 to get equal monthly payments over 12 months, but I suppose that is a small thing and perhaps other insurers would not do so neither.
Generally, without having made a claim, I recommend Direct Line.
