Very cheap. Flies from regional airports rather than the usual London/Manchester.
My outward flight was 3 hours delayed, although it made up a fair chunk of this in the air. The whole business of pre-booking seats and meals was a farcical waste of time. They told us that there had been a booking problem and we could sit anywhere. Then they proceeded to serve meals to everyone, regardless who had or hadn't ordered them, which was a good thing I suppose.
Hamilton Airport is a long way from Toronto and not able to support the volume of travellers I think. Immigration desks had been hastily set up in a tin shed and it took nearly an hour to get through.
I would recommend them to anyone who wanted to get to Canada very cheaply and prepared for the gamble that you could be massively delayed and/or generally messed about.
Talking to some previous passengers, I got that impression that in general the airline is functional and gets you there vaguely on time ie within a few hours. It's clearly a very chaotic and poorly run organisation, unable to cope with any real problems. So things that would cause a major airline a small delay, cause GlobeSpan to just keel over. Presumably because they simply don't have the resources to deal with problems with crews or planes or whatever.
However, I paid £200 return for my flight to Toronto return and no major airline could get anywhere near that.
