Good Points

The tire does in fact have the "fast" warm up raved about by so many people.

I changed over from PILOT POWER RACE H2 (Hard compound comparable to a sport tire per the manufacture) and found them HIGHLY superior to the H2. I raced the H2 for a season with AFM in 05 and 06 at Infineon-T-hill-and Button Willow and the tire was O.K. But did not make me nearly that happy. When I rode the same bike (O3- TL1000R track only bike) with the PILOT POWER on, I knew right away the tire was VERY capable of running 6 lap sprints with AFM- (and NO tire warmers!) try that on your average tires...I was a First Year Novice in 05 and a Novice in 06 and the H2 was capable but not confidence inspiring...they cost close to 200$ for a rear only, and you're getting about 120$ worth of grip out of them (in other words your paying for a sport touring grip level) whereas the PILOT POWER is provided a high level sport tire grip with sprint racing in mind...I would even compare the grip level with what the PILOT POWER RACE M2 medium or S2 soft grip characteristics.

Let's put it this way...I saw guys run race take off SLICKs (front and rear) with upwards of 10 to 12 heat cycles at AFM events and stuff people from the out side on brand new slicks with 1 or 2 heat cycles...(skill is stronger than strength and extra money for slicks you will never push to their limit is a waist..) So...buy some PILOT POWERS and save some money--Ebay for like 142$ rather than 400 for slicks or 300$ POWER RACE H2 M2 S2 and you potentially can run competitive times on a track...let alone enjoy the performance level in your favorite canyon...
