Nice quality. Good Features and design. Strong and durable fittings. Economical.
Noisy! Cracks, bangs and noises like mini explosions as the frost free unit does its stuff. Took a few weeks to get used to during which time we jumped out of bed during the night thinking we had intruders! Shot out of our skins on several occasions when it let rip. Phoned Hotpoint and they say this is normal! with their frost free models. So if you live in a one roomed apartment or if your kitchen is near to a bedroom or your lounge don't get a Hotpoint frost free! If you have guests staying quite a lot tell them not to worry if they hear banging during the night or don't get a Hotpoint frost free! If you are bad with your nerves buy some ear muffs or don't buy a Hotpoint frost free.
Once you get used to the noise it is a smart and very practical appliance and excellent value for money.
I would recommend this fridge freezer to any friend without hesitation providing they are hard of hearing.
