I've had this bike for about 18 months now and its never failed me yet. I have had it just about everywhere you can think of from on the road to DH, its been peddled from Newcastle to Scotland with no problems at all, and I've had it on a few trails in Chopwell woods and it seams to cope rather well. overall i would say it is one of my favourite bikes and for the price you pay for it.. you can't really moan... the bad points i would say have to be that the front derailer sometimes jams the chain and the chain can sometimes jump or skip a few teeth but I'm not sure if its just because i thrashed mine. I would recommend that if you are planning to take this off-road or downhill to invest in a nice light yet strong wingar and stem because i bent the stock gear on a high jump but the Saracen Xray is a bike that i would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good and sturdy hardtail bike. kyle
