None apart from advice on what to do if your phone gets wet e.g. take it out of the water! Wow, who would have thought of that!

Here is the information you need to unlock your mobile phone safely with your network.

. The network (and country) to which the phone is locked

. The phone's IMEI number. This is a 15 digit serial number, which you can find by typing *#06# on your phone's keypad.
Unlocking your mobile phone is simple via the network: You should follow the procedure below.
1. Telephone your existing mobile phone network operator and tell them you want to unlock your mobile phone so you can switch network providers. Provide them account details from your bill if it's a contract mobile.
2. Your existing service provider will them supply you a code to unlock it. (Please note: this usually incurs a fee on your bill if you're still within your contract period). Codes may be posted to you.
3. When you receive your unlock code, type it into your mobile phone. You should refer to our help page for instructions on entering unlock codes.
4. A few seconds later, your mobile phone will be unlocked and ready to use with another sim card on any network you choose.

Possible solution :- How to get your network to unlock your mobile if it's still subject to a contract.
1. Buy a Pay as you go sim card on the same network as your phone is locked to.
2. Put it into the mobile and make a call to make sure the IMEI is linked to the new mobile number
3. Phone up the network and tell them you want to unlock your pay as you go phone so you can use it on more than one network
4. The network systems for pay as you go are usually separate from the monthly accounts systems so once you give them the IMEI number and new mobile number they will believe it's a pay as you go mobile as that's what the computer should tell them
5. For a nominal fee (usually £20-£30) they should give you an unlock code for your phone
Please note you will find they want to deduct the cost of the unlocking from the pay as you go sim via their systems so make sure you have some credit on there.
Important: Only give the new mobile number from the pay as you go sim card.
Procedure with Orange UK: Please note this is again not guaranteed but is a tip. Very high success rate has been reported for this procedure.

This company appears to trade under Unlock Telecom and the more appropriate Virtual Effects Ltd. I have complained to paypal. I shall also be lodging at complaint tomorrow with trading standards.
I would advise giving this company a very wide berth.
