General Comments
I bought this LG 19LS4R on-line and took a bit of a chance since there were no user reviews. I reckoned that since I have other LG products in the home which have been faultless, then this was worth the risk - especially at under £200!
I was not disappointed and had the thing set up within a few minutes. The manual was enormous, covering a multitude of languages, but was quite useless. On the bright side, there is a CD ROM which is very well structured covering every conceivable thing on the TV.
This is a second TV set and connected via a rooftop aerial and digi-box. The picture is excellent through the box but not so good via the direct aerial link.
My only disappointment came when I tried to adjust the picture to my personal preference. I had hoped to increase the contrast but discovered that it was set at maximum from factory settings and that was it's limit. Another 5 - 10% contrast and this would have been a perfect score. As it is, I can go no further for extra contrast..
Notwithstanding the above, you will have a job to beat this product at the price.
