Good Points

Great musicality, solid build, ease of use, plenty of power, flexible, top remote.

Bad Points

Cooling fan may cut in, pretty quiet but amp needs space around it to vent. Not a stacker.

General Comments

Seriously auditioned Onkyo, Denon, Yamaha and NAD. NAD's musicality won - no question, good detail, warmth (esp. on voices which to me is key ie no edgy hissing), presence. Also appreciated simplicity of operation through excellent NAD remote (easily learns all commands for other devices). Offers adjustment for centre, rears and sub as you listen - really handy. Still upgrading speakers but currently using B&W11O's (fronts - solid), B&W LRC600 S3(centre - wow), sub M&K (musical & rocks house, serious wife factor - more wow), rears Mission 710i(mmmm ..will be upgraded). CD player - NAD C541i (a revelation), DVD Pioneer 355 (great), TV Loewe Planus (nothing comes near it), cables mid (Monster). Movies work well though Yamaha probably had the edge (just)in this area but the NAD really won on stereo music (classical, jazz, new world). Fantastic all rounder.

I would be very curious as to which Yamaha you compared the NAD T752 with. I am at the crossroads now and the three amps i am considering are:
    Marantz SR5300
    Yamaha RXV 640
    NAD T752

Would love to get in touch with any owners who could give me their opinions!
