Good Points

The appeal and magic of Lego for all of the family.
Excellent for under 10's.
Gentle but exciting rides.
Lots of other activities, water park, climbing things etc.
Fabulous quality merchandise in the shops.
A lot to fit into a day, so pace yourself!

Bad Points

Queues for rides without entertainment.
Expensive and unhealthy food and drink for kids.
Hidden extras, panning for gold, Henna tattoos, blow driers at the water park, lockers, trampoline things etc.
Long traffic jams coming out of Windsor.

General Comments

In spite of all the bad points I've highlighted, I would recommend this to any family with under 10s. Lego holds a magic for adults and kids alike, the park is beautifully styled, the view at the top of the park is wonderful, the facilities are good and clean and everything is geared towards a wonderful and memorable family day out.

Unlike Chessington, which looks like it could do with a good scrub, Legoland is a clean and magical place.

If your child can bear the queues, the rides are gentle but exciting, if they can't there is plenty of other active play on offer. We loved the water park in particular and recommend that you take towels, swimming stuff and a change of clothes.

Make sure that you also take lots of food and drink for plenty of pit-stops. The choice is limited if you want something other than burgers, hot-dogs, pasta, fizzy drinks and it's pretty expensive to feed a family, on top of the entry cost.

On the plus side, the shops are brilliant and the products well made, reasonably priced, so it's a great place to pick up gifts and discounted Lego.

Go off peak if you can to avoid the 45 minute queues!
