Good Points

A 100% mortgage fixed for 5 years. You can also borrow more on top to pay fees ect. Only a certain percentage is secured on your house, the rest is as a personal loan but included in your repayments. This function may be good in the case of negative equity.


Bad Points

Five year tie in.


General Comments

All in all Northern Rock offer a great mortgage if you are starting out and have little or no savings. Also rates are good and the only down side is the tie in.
