Optical quality good. I entered pictures in competitions in my local camera club & it stood up well. I did have trouble with battery life, but the charger needs to be high output. Someone had 2500s I notice. I tried those in a "normal" battery charger and although "green" they were not fully charged.
None while the camera was working! It packed up unfortunately after 2 years use, CCD failure £109 to repair (camera cost £130). I put "No" in recommending to a friend for this reason, but the camera was fine while it was working. I have contacted Pentax, but I don't think they will be any help there.
Not sure. I have had Pentax cameras for many years and they have been excellent and almost trouble free, but I think build quality has dropped, but then it has with all makes unless you pay a high price! The Pentax Optio 50 well under the cost of a similar Canon or Nikon at the time and I have heard reports of failures with them, so what do you do?
