--> Good consistancy with shots

Bad Points

General Comments

I've had my Air Arms S400 for around a year now and i have had no problems with it at all. It dispatches quarry with ease from 30m to 70m as long as you got your scope zeroed for the right range. Theres only one problem you will like this gun so much you will end up buying the 10 shot version because you will get addicted to shooting it but this is an excellent gun and you should buy it.

Respect given for Luke.'s review.

    Unless you get an FAC air rifle you can not kill at 70 meters and even with a FAC air rifle it would be hard.I think you should think who could be wrongly influenced by the review.

    I have to say that i agree with the previous comment. I have a S410 E, which has a power rating of 33 feet-pounds. I find it extremely difficult to hit any quarry beyond 50 yards. Maybe you should actually measure out the distance before claiming such sucesses.

    50yds is a realistic killing distance, especially with a S400 FAC.
    I own a HW97K and a TX200 MkIII (16 ft/lbs) and with these rifles killing at 50m (55yds) hasn't been a problem yet.
    I can tell this exactly because it's the distance from our house to the nearest trees (in which the crows gather). When focusing my scope I read 50m, couldn't believe it, measured again: still 50m.
    I've read that an S410E (or S400E) is capable of killing rabbits at 50yds and out to 90yds, perhaps even further is possible.
    I'm thinking of ordering one of these, just to increase the killing distance.

    After practicing with the S410 a month, 3 out of 5 shots will solidly / humanely kill a ground squirrel at 70 yds.(2 out of 5 may miss). Use a ballistic plex scope, a yardage finder, and some stix to steady your aim, and a rank amatuer can place his shot into the 1 & 1/2 in. kill zone. JSB pellets crank about 16-17 ft. lbs. of power at 70 yds. which is sufficient.

    I too bought the 410 E just like everybody else. I am very happy with its performace after zeroing the scope. I am consistenly able to place all my shots in a .5 inch target, I tried shooting a Bejamin as 392 asT but out of the 4 times the squirrel just jumped and walked away smiling. With the AA 410 3 shots 2 of them moving but had a steady stick all 3 connected all clean kills solid accurate and great workmanship on these rifles. The only draw back of this rifle is its length. The power, precision, looks quality are all there. In my opinion it cant be beat for the price.

    I too have an A-A S400. I find that the pellet drops 4.5 inches between 40 and 50 yards. Which means an error of 3 yards range will mean a miss or a wound.
    That said it is a fabulous weopon up to 40 yards and a little beyond.

    The AA410 is kind of boring now since it always hits the mark with a 6x18-50mm AO Bushnell banner this thing never misses a beat. Anything less than 50m is not challenge at all. I just bought a talon ss that one is a bit more sensitive to cant and movements trigger a lot heavier bullet sensitive a little bit more challenging to shoot but very capable too. Each rifle is different the AA410 kicks ass all the way... that's why it now just sits in the safe I will buy an AA410 carbine next... I have yet to take a crow have not gotten a chance yet.
