Good Points

It's worked without any problems for two and a half years. I've just replaced the 40GB HD with a 120GB disk (not that there was anything wrong with the original, I just needed more storage for editing camcorder files). The backup CD (created when the laptop was new) installed onto the new Hard Disk without any problems.

Bad Points

The fan gets a bit noisy, when the DVD drive is used.
The DVD also drains the battery pretty quickly.
It's a bit heavy.
Because I've just installed a new HD the machine keeps requesting the applications installation disk (which was created at the same time as the XP boot disk). It's not getting all that 'rubbish' software loaded on again, even though it is threatening me, saying the machine 'may become unstable' if it's not loaded on!
The mains lead is too short (I've replaced mine with a longer one).

General Comments

It's a very good machine. It does everything I want it to. The graphics are very good, the three USB ports get a lot of use and are often in use at the same time. There has been no noticeable decline in battery life, and it has had a lot of use. My Sony laptop was expensive when I bought it, but it was bought for the graphic capabilities, and I would recommend it to anyone. On a final note, when the HD was replaced, it was easy due to the accessible compartment underneath.
