The shine it gives when polished is very good. It definately improved my car's look.
Bad Points
Takes a lot of effort to get a good shine.
Soaks through whatever cloth you use and leaves lovely black stains on your hands.
General Comments
I bought a bottle of Car Plan Black trim Wax after I saw how dingy and grey the rear bumber and wing mirrors on my car had got. It was cheap enough so I thought it would be a worthwhile investment.
To be fair, the finish you get is very nice. The "traffic film" left on my wing mirrors had left the black plastic looking quite grey (not a good look on a metallic silver car), and after some hard work I'd made sure this plastic finish was "back in black". I used it on the front & rear bumpers, and these came up nice, too.
But be warned - this stuff isn't a "rub-on-and-forget" product. It needs some patience. So, some things you'll need:
-A cloth you don't mind getting dirty.
-Another cloth to rub off any wax you get on the car's bodywork. This stuff doesn't damage paint, but it looks bad on it.
-A good thirty minutes (at least) without rain.
-Patience.
-A good nail brush to scrub your hands afterwards!
Also, make sure all the black trim you're polishing is clean and dry first, or you'll be shining dirt.
But this stuff is well worth the investment, and cheaper than professional car valeting.
