Good Points

I had a 1.9TDI sport for 6 years, and covered 160,000 rural miles in it, not much motorway driving. I push my cars hard and was very impressed with the performance and even the fuel economy when pushing on.
The car was shunted up the rear, submerged in a river up o the door handles (don't ask) and had a head on in a lane (I wasn't actually driving at the time), and following VW repairs for these incidents still felt solid and drove well.


Bad Points

At 105,000 had the injection system replaced, at 152,000 had a water leak which resulted in the head gasket being replaced. Loved the car and have just bought a new 07 model.


General Comments
