Good sound quality and at first the picture was great.
Bad Points
After having the television for 5 months, there was a lot of blue pixels on the outside edges of the screen, only visible on certain screen shots, but very annoying none the less
General Comments
I would not recommend the Philips 42PF9966 Ambilight for someone that wants something reliable and lasting. Very disappointed, considering the investment that was put down.

I disagree with this review because...he was unlucky to get a faulty one...if this was true and he bought from new and had it less than a year he could have returned it and got it repaired...or replaced...Philips have excellent customer service because they are British and based here. I have never had a problem with mine what-so-ever its the best thing I have ever bought.
