Good Points

Many maps and weapons. Fairly easy switching between them, good graphics and realistic movements of the soldiers in most cases. Addictive. Still a number of internet game links going. Seemingly international game links and players. Easy to learn and some different functions possible in each map. Mostly good conduct by players. Easy to switch game links. Design and realistic terrains, etc. are great.

Bad Points

Sometime variable weapons performance against the foes. I can't master the airplane flying. Too many maps have little anti aircraft sites for defense and air power can overwhelm your base, or outposts, with little defense. Campaign maps are not too realistic. You have to go back and forth, fighting over outposts all the time and you can't respawn if the issue is in doubt at any outpost. Some useless vehicles are included, like half tracks and the Japanese version of same.

General Comments

I admit to being 64 and still enjoy the games. My son gave me a demo, then I found the full version for $10 at an office supply store. Great Value. I like it better than Battlefield 2, which is rather complicated and where your life expectancy is apt to be a lot shorter that BF1942. BF is closer to my experiences than the newer ones. I don't really care for the Desert Combat scenarios.
