General Comments

I put in a claim with Tesco Home Insurance for a damaged Gucci watch, and I sent the authenticity certificate and numerous pictures of me wearing the watch. I hear nothing for 2 weeks, so I called, and they tell me my claim has been passed to jewellers LMG to cost. Call me back, offering me half of what the watch is worth, and when I ask why, they say it's because it has gone down in price. I find that hard to believe when the model was discontinued two years ago. They take two more weeks to come to agreement with me, then offer me the same price for another watch, also about to be discontinued, which, btw, looks nothing like my watch. I post them pictures of the upgraded model, similar to mine, with all the costs from 3 different suppliers, but they still offer me the rubbish model that bears no resemblance to mine! They still refuse to pay out, offering me the cheapest model which is about to be discontinued.

Tesco won't budge, so it looks like I will have to take my complaint further. I have called about 40 times since I made my claim three months ago, and still no word on the watch, and the other items needing replaced!

Absolute shambles.
