Good Points
Fusion version of Mapex six-piece M-Birch kit which includes an extra tom. Fabulous high lacquer finish. Good tone, decent heads. First class hardware with shock absorbing mounts for toms, sounds good and looks good on stage. It has been played as is and fully miked up and sounds great either way. Good resonance and tone whether played with rock sticks or brushes

Bad Points
Need to use drumkey to adjust some of the hardware fittings so can be fiddly, but it does hold its settings well

General Comments
The Mapex M Series kit is used at least once every week for the past 18 months for youth music project, which means it is assembled and dis-assembled every time it is used, (so not permanently set up) and it had been transported to several gigs(Rock/Pop performances and for rhythm section of Jazz/Swing group). In that time nothing has broken or fallen off and the kit has kept its finish and stage presence. Have not needed to change any heads yet. Good value (under £500 from www.drumshop.co.uk)
