Good Points

Very well made, looks rather attractive sitting on my kitchen work surface, on the day I got it I used it straight away. Typical male thing to do....I failed to read the instructions completely before using the machine. I failed to notice I needed room temp water....and used luke-warm as my previous machine needed. The results were ok...but the texture was wrong, it had over-proved and collapsed inside the machine before rising once again.
I have now made 7 different loaves and have now discovered the best combination and the last 2 loaves have been great. I have used mixes from Lidl, so far all have been good, I can recommend the Multigrain and Sunflower mixes, but I have used the rapidwhite (program 2) setting for both of these and they have been very good.

Bad Points

Resist the temptation to open the lid while it is rising, I found that the dough collapsed and then did not rise very well at all. I also like to make a 1kg loaf, and I have found that the dough does not rise evenly as there is more dough at one end of the tin. The solution is to open the lid when it beeps for the last time (to add extra ingredients) and re-shape the dough, then I have managed to get excellent results.

General Comments

Before buying the Kenwood, I have owned a BFFInet Breadmaker for about 18 months it was the 1st I have owned it was £20.00 from Lidl and had 2 paddles and served me very well until i put a bread-tin on the lid to prove, while I was cooking some bread inside.....bad move as the plastic lid melted downwards into the machine. This was why the need to get another breadmaker.
