Good Points

It had a wicked location and was a busy place at night but not over the top like Malia. The best point was that it was a 20 minute walk from Malia. It was right next to a beach but that's about all that was good about Matamy Beach Apartments.


Bad Points

I went with three other people to Stalis for 2 weeks. Apparently we had been told a week into our holiday that he didn't like youths, which is probably why we got treated so badly that we begged Thomas Cook to move us to other accommodation. The pool is tiny and the pictures make it look much bigger than it is. He put us in the small dark room, which was right next to the pool, therefore our apartment was damp as well.
We are not a loud group but for some reason he really did not like us and at one point said to us that, English are all the same.
They didn't change our sheets and towels for a week and when we told them the shower curtain was broken they didn't replace it.
I got so bad at one point I had to get my Mum in England to ring Thomas Cook to sort something out. A few days after that, he let himself into our room one morning when we were all asleep and started shouting at us because the towels were dirty and had we left the electricity on, which was complete rubbish. He was shouting at me whilst I was still in bed, that I was pathetic ringing my Mum and can't believe that we had complained about him. I have never been on holiday and been so annoyed with the manager.
In the end Thomas Cook moved us to another apartment, which was much better. Our first week on holiday was a complete flop because of Costas.


General Comments

Not suitable for young people.
Our first room was dark and damp.
Doesn't serve food but there are nice restaurants close by.
Really unfriendly customer service, the manager Costas is very aggressive and rude.
The pool is tiny.
Our towels were not changed for a week, nor were our sheets.
There is no entertainment there either.
Its location is the only good thing really.
