Good Points

Cheap.


Bad Points

2 plastic wash tumblers snapped off after ONE weeks use.Unable to control spin cycle speed so shut self off.Started jumping around the kitchen. Motor died after FOUR weeks use.Declared highly dangerous by service repairman.


General Comments

Bought Beko washing machine from Currys at Crown Point Retail Park in Leeds. Delivered 24/5/07. Used for one week. Then i went on holiday for two and a half weeks. Used washing machine on return. Wash paddles fell off in the middle of cycle. 11/7/07 started jumping around the kitchen dangerously and dramatically. Shut itself off. Motor died. Reported problem to Beko alas rude and unhelpful. Could not get anywhere with Beko so phoned Currys. Also unhelpful and evasive. Waited one week helpful engineer came out. Who has confirmed that the washer has died. I now have to wait, at least another week for parts to be delivered and then an engineer to visit and fit them. Engineer said that Beko are having serious problems with their washing machines. If this is so then Currys and Beko have sold me a substandard machine unfit for purpose. I have two children, including one toddler, so i am up to the rafters with washing. Very hacked off i feel like dumping it outside the Currys i bought it from. Complete dud! Stuck with a highly dangerous washer. Great. Cheers Beko!!!.

    I agree with this review because...my 520w was a dud also, and beko don't seem give a monkeys!

    My washer is exactly the same...and just 2 years old :(
