Good Points
A richly toned bass with good intonation. Ring key gives a strong B natural in both octaves without the cross-fingering normally required. Direct blow. Comfortable finger spacing. Easy to produce the full two octaves plus range. Strong even at the bottom of the range. Still looks good after 26 years!
Bad Points
No bottom F sharp on my instrument. Block can become loose after a layoff but it doesn't seem to affect the playing as such.
General Comments
The Kung F Bass in Bubinga really good bass for the price if they still make them to the same standard. Definitely a step up from the plastic models.
