Good Points

The water tastes fresh and the filter removes all the muddy and chemical flavours from our tap water. The jug is designed to fit in your fridge, so you can have cooled water should you want to. The jug fits in the door shelf of our fridge.

Bad Points

For being a jug, it is severely badly designed when it comes to the spout. It is really hard to pour from without spilling water. You have to be really careful and think about what you are doing, otherwise you'll have water everywhere!

General Comments

This is not an electrical appliance. We drink a lot of water, since I am a singer and my hubby needs to keep the kidneystones at bay. We used to buy the cheap water bottles from Tesco, but they took up so much space and it was also a hassle to shop for 30 or so two litre bottles. We decided to try out a filter jug and this is the first one we've bought. It has endured well for this year, considering that it is being refilled several times every day. It is easy to take it apart for cleaning and you can put it in the dishwasher. Except for the lid, I believe, since it features an indicator for how much is left of the filter. The lid has also got a refilling hole, with a little closure covering it. This pops down under the pressure of the water stream when you refill, and when you have filled the jug up, the closure closes itself, so watch out so that you turn the tap off in time. I'm not so sure that having this jug has saved us much money, since Tesco's blue stripe water is ridiculously cheap and the filters for this jug are rather dear. We always try to buy them when they are on special offer. The cost of the jug itself was very expensive, in my honest opinion, it is after all just a plastic jug! It is very easy to change the filters, they just pop out and then push another one in again. Also, I'm not sure having a water filter jug is better for the environment, what is in the filters, for example? And they can't be recycled, whereas we put all our plastic water bottles back in recycling. The badly designed spout is really irritating, that's why I took down the points for ease of use, and when we can afford to buy a new jug, this model wont be it! I only gave it any points over 5 because it is doing it's job of cleaning the water really well.
