Good Points

Excellent value for money given the features available.


Bad Points

On one of my DVDs, throughout playback, the frame transition was not smooth - in fact was very jerky which was rather irritating.
I also observed the lip-sync problem mentioned in the DVD discussion forum - I found this more noticeable on certain multi-lingual DVDs.


General Comments

Bought this Maxim MX11-20 one week ago and it played most of my DVDs well and VCDs.
However after a few plays, I did notice a lip-sync problem. This doesn't appear consistently but was enough to ruin the experience.
Playback on 1 out of the 4 DVD movies I tried was jerky although this particular disc played well on my PC DVD player.
This would be an excellent buy given features and price. However the lip-sync problem and the jerky DVD playback on one of my discs, helped me decide to refund the player.
