Good Points

Marketed by Vincent Bach and made in Taiwan. Silver leadpipe and rose brass bell. Excellent sound and response for the money. Valves took a few sessions to free up fully but they are now very light under the fingers (but I am a euphonium player mainly!) Beautifully finished. Mobile first and third valve slides - possible even to get a low F natural if ever you need one! Good solid padded case.

Bad Points

Absolutely none that I can see, except that there is no room for a mute in its case.

General Comments

The Elkhart 300 series is arguably one of the best student instruments on the market for the money. A brass teacher and trumpet specialist I know was amazed by its quality, and compared it favourably to others on the market. I managed to get mine for £50 plus postage (unbelievable I know) - supposedly an ex-demo model. I doubt I will ever find a better bargain in my life!

I found this review very helpful because...

I am looking at buying the same model trumpet. As I am a beginner I am looking for a good solid trumpet to learn on.
