Everything about this camera is superb
None
After lots of looking around and umm'ing and rr'ing I decided to splash out on a Nikon D40.
I must just say this... if you're looking for a DSLR camera you will not buy better than the D40. I've never used a DSLR before and am incredibly impressed by the ease of use this model offers.
Value for money simply cannot be beaten, for a start.
Picture quality? Well! Having had a Canon Ixus 55 compact which takes some excellent images I thought the D40 would be hard pressed to have a huge difference over it. How wrong could I be? The Canon is simply blown out of the water by the D40's results... a compact of any quality simply cannot compete with a DSLR for the results it offers.
Simply put... if your just starting out, have some experience with SLR cameras and want to buy a quality camera that will surpass your expectations look now further than the Nikon D40!
One word: SUPERB!
