Kuchenhaus Kitchens Review

I recently bought a kitchen from Kuchenhaus, following detailed desk-based research. Indeed, we traveled from Birmingham to Manchester (twice in the end) to review, and then purchase a complete new kitchen. The showroom was easy to find, with plenty of parking. It was excellently laid out, and even as somebody who hates shopping, I did actually enjoy the time there.
Products were well laid out, there were many of them to look at, and help was at hand, though not in your face. Staff were knowledgeable about products. The design service was excellent. The designers were well trained, experienced and able to offer clear and very useful advice. The software that was used was excellent, and the now installed kitchen now closely resembles the computer generated images. You do need to ensure that you measure very accurately, as the software works to the nearest mm. The lead time was 8 weeks, and the delivery service prompt and professional.

During installation, we did have a problem in that we found the sink unit had not been delivered. This was a major problem for us, and I did have to be assertive to ensure that the issue was rectified quickly. The missing item did arrive within a week, which in the big scheme of time is acceptable, though at the time I may not have thought this! This did result in additional costs to us re getting our fitters back on site. I did ask that Kuchenhaus pay for this, which initially they would not do, citing small print rules (which are there, but which you won't read!). Following a rather acerbic email from myself, the manager did ring me and following a discussion about moral rather than legal responsibility, agreed to pay in full the additional costs that I incurred.

I would summarize as follows: Having a kitchen fitted is pretty traumatic - Now that ours is completed, we are delighted with the products and they are better than well known competitors. Many of my friends have had all sorts of lengthy nightmares with new kitchens, which we have not experienced. I am not dissatisfied with the customer care received, although I do think that their marks would go from 7/10 to 9/10 if they used a common sense approach and dealt with some issues from a moral rather than a legal perspective, particularly when a problem occurs, which they fully acknowledged, is of their own making. I hope that this review helps the reader, and I do strongly recommend looking at the Kuchenhaus range.
