Laganas, Zante Hotel Margarita Review

This hotel was excellent value for money. The staff and tour reps are very friendly and helpfull. And the Animation team are excellent. The poolside activiteis were spot on!! The bar had large selection of all inclusive drinks and the food was fantastic.

The airport at zante is a knightmare, not so much coming into the country but going home. All luggage is scanned before you are allowed to enter the airport, therefore you could be stood outside for long periods of time. We were stood out for approx 2 1/2hours in the blstering heat. so take plenty of drinks with you.

The hotel was shaded in palm trees in a very relaxing environment. At the front of the hotel there was an adults only pool if you wanted to sunbathe and swim in peace. At the back of the hotel was the main pool and poolside bar where all the daytime and occasional evening entertainments were held. The bars serve a good selection of soft and alcoholic drinks and hot drinks. There were burgers and hotdogs and chips and salad rolls to snack on during the day by the pool, and lunch and dinner severed buffet style in the main resturant. The food was possibly the best I have ever had on holiday before and very varied.

The hotel was situated just outside the main area of laganas but within a five minute walk to all the bars resturants and shops. Although it was a 10 - 15 minute walk to the beach it was worth it, the water is very shallow for a long way out, perfect for paddling and swimming and along the beach are more cafe and bars. Also from the beach you can take out a boat trip to see the famous loggerhead turtles swimming in the sea - I would definately reccomend this and it was cheap and if you didnt see the turtles you got your money back.

The nightlife here is excellent, the main strip of laganas just five mins walk away from the hotel is lined with late night bars and clubs, or if you want a quiet drink there are bars to suit also.

I will definately be going back in the near future.

  i have to agree hotel margarita is one of the best weve stayed at, must be weve been going back every year twice a year for 4 years.
  Rita & Tony the owners are lovely as is Kelly the barmaid,
  food is brilliant & just a short walk to the shops bars, bars etc, what more could u want?
