david 38's Review of Croydex H2O Hydro-Powered Mixer

Overall Rating

3.5 stars

Good Points

Easy to install
Easy to operate
Very good pressure when using mains cold and stored hot water

Bad Points

Fitted February 2005, started dripping, and eventually would not turn off after 12 months.

General Comments

When it wouldn't turn off I stripped it down and found that the assembly lubricant had hardened and was stopping the spring loaded piston from closing properly, preventing the turn off. After cleaning the parts, I reassembled the Croydex H2O Hydro-Powered Mixer shower using silicone grease. I have had no problems since.

I found this review helpful because...I have the same problem, only I cant find the spring loaded piston you refer to- is it in part 6- the valve assembly? Or is it part 5- the on /off lever?
    Someome help?!
    Cheers

The spring loaded piston is located in the top of the valve assembly. To release the piston you have to undo the screw via the bottom of the valve assembly.Good Luck.

    Hi

Does anybody know where I can get a copy of the manual (preferably the service variety!) for the Aquadart Hydroflo VS2 or Croydex H20 showers? Or better still has an electronic copy of the manual! I moved into a house with the shower already fitted and its been a wee gem for 5 years - but now a "won't switch off" issue has arisen. So I have no idea how to start taking this apart...from looking at it, you have to unplumb it and take it off the wall to get to anything!

    Any assistance appreciated.
