Ridiculously difficult to log in.
I have tried 3 times to set up Internet banking with Yorkshire Bank. First time, after going through registration and then trying to log in, I was told that my password or customer reference was wrong.
I thought, strange I don't usually register on something and then immediately forget the password but it could be possible.
But after the same thing happening two more times I give up.
A bonus would be to say you forgot your password so answer these security questions and we'll reset it for you, like I get with Halifax but no chance with these, I have to re-register and get another password sent out which would take days and then I'm sure lead me to the same point of failure.
I don't know what the system is like once you are logged in but the setup is an absolute farce.
I work as IT support staff so this is not someone talking who is just being introduced to the internet and is making rookie mistakes when using the web.
I don't usually get this upset but I am trying to sort out my mothers banking arrangements for her and seeing as the only days YB are open is Monday to Friday, this is very difficult for me to do unless I take days off work.
